Montreal resident Al Cabino has started an online petition addressed to Nike demanding that they make the Back To The Future II sneaker available to the public.
The sneaker activist who prefers to be called an internationally famous sneakerographer says hes more interested in the style of the sneaker than its self-lacing capabilities, but muses, You know Nike. Its a multi-billion dollar company. Can they do it? Maybe.
Hes gotten Nicole Richies fiance DJ AM to sign the petition and says hed love to get Michael J. Fox on board.
Cabino insists he wont go to Nike until he has a respectable number of signatures, adding, Youre not gonna go knock-knock at Nike and say, I have a hundred signatures.
The petition can be found at petitiononline.com/future2/petition.html and Cabino jokes, I know it sounds like a Nike ad, but I say Just Sign It.
