New York College Student Gets To Be Jerry Springer For A Day

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – A 22-year-old college student always knew she wanted to be on TV, but she never believed she’d get to be Jerry Springer for a day.

After an eight month search, New York-based Lisa Gerald was chosen to co-host an episode of The Jerry Springer Show out of thousands of wannabe Springers.

Gerald says of auditioning for the one-day gig, “I made a fool of myself and apparently they liked it.”

The show featuring the college senior airs today (Nov. 30) and deals with a father sleeping with his stepdaughter.

Naturally a fight breaks out within the family and Gerald explains, “At one point, the fight kind of rolled towards me, but I got out of the way.”

She says she never felt like her life was in danger but admits, “I do have a new-found respect for Jerry.”

Gerald says she’d like to have her own show one day, and she thinks she has what it takes to succeed. In her words, “I help my friends out, but they don’t throw chairs at me.”
