Friendship Website A Tool For The Government?

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Friendship and dating sites like and may be popular ways to meet people, but one student-oriented website may get some coeds dates with government officials before they hook up with a hottie from chemistry class.

It’s called and some conspiracy researchers like Robert Sterling are concerned the website may be gathering information for the CIA.

College students post information such as their name, address, relationship status and political leanings and that is causing conspiracy buffs to speculate the CIA is using it to track students on both sides of the spectrum.

Sterling says that’s a very good possibility, especially since the CIA has been setting up corporations to develop new technologies for more than 30 years and using them to get information about the consumers using the services.

A Facebook spokesman was unavailable for comment, but Sterling warns any type of information is useful for spying purposes.

So if you’re thinking about messaging that potential date, make sure you aren’t secretly planning to overthrow the government.
