Miniature Golf Course Sprouts Up In Brooklyn Bar

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Who says you need a lot of space to open a miniature golf course? Not Brooklyn-based bar owner John Roberts.

His bar is called the Bushwick Country Club and Roberts thinks he made the best use of his 22-by-44-foot patio by hand-building a six-hole miniature golf course.

Roberts spruced up the course with an industrial ice bin that looks a robot, a motorized Pabst Blue Ribbon can windmill, pipes leftover from his contractor, a large ice cream cone sculpture, and a dummy that he says looks like “a passed out hobo.”

Roberts admits he likes the course as is, but says it’ll be really great by springtime when he has the dummy’s arm moving up and down.

Games are free, and take note that the whiffle golf balls and plastic putters are not just part of the bar’s “classy with a ‘k’ motif.”

In Roberts’ words, “Real putters and alcohol don’t mix.”
