‘Ex-Cubs Factor’ A Strike Against Astros

SAN DIEGO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The Chicago White Sox are in luck: They will be World Series winners thanks to something called the “ex-Cubs factor.”

The factor is really a curse that is put on a team when they have former Chicago Cubs on their World Series roster.

This year, the White Sox have no ex-Cubbies on their roster while the Houston Astros have one – infielder Jose Vizcaino.

Sports journalist Christian Ruzich says you only need to look back to last year, when the curse was proven once again. The St. Louis Cardinals listed three former Cubs on their roster to the Boston Red Sox’s two and they got swept 4-0.

The factor only applies to former Cubs players because the curse’s believers say there is an aura of failure in the Cubs’ organization and it seems to stick with the players for the rest of their careers.
