San Diego Man Dubbed Mr. Gay International

SAN DIEGO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – San Diego native Jesse Bashem has the honor of being the gayest man in the world.

That’s because he was recently crowned Mr. Gay International at a competition in Palm Springs, California.

It’s a double win for the 21-year-old, who won the title of Mr. Gay USA just an hour before moving on to the international contest.

The event included a talent portion – in which Bashem, a gymnast, wowed the audience with tumbles to a techno tune – and a swimsuit competition.

Bashem adds, “What pageant doesn’t have a swimsuit competition? There always has to be an objectification of the body just a little bit.”

For his efforts, Bashem received a modeling contract, a new wardrobe, photo shoots and an acting lesson. His duties include being a spokesman for the gay community.
