‘The Ultimate Hustler’ A Solution To ‘The Apprentice’

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – You’re an entrepreneur with heart, drive and hip-hop street cred – but Donald Trump won’t let you near the set of The Apprentice. What’s a businessman or woman to do?

A man who created an urban alternative to Trump’s reality show thinks he has the answer.

Datari Turner describes his new mogul-in-training show, The Ultimate Hustler, as “an urban-style Apprentice show,” without The Donald’s trademark bad hairstyle.

That’s because it’ll be hosted by bald hip-hop mogul Damon Dash, who recently sold Roc-A-Fella Records for a cut of $300 million.

Turner explains, “I looked at the five biggest hip-hop moguls out there – Diddy, Russell Simmons, Damon Dash, Jay-Z and Master P – and together they have one year of college education...the year Diddy went to Howard.”

The show is about teaching people how to build a company from scratch, focusing on tasks related to film production, clothing lines and music. But unlike The Apprentice, contestants on the show are given a bling-bling “Ultimate Hustler” chain that they have to take off when they’re eliminated.

The Ultimate Hustler debuts Oct. 4 on BET.
