Take That Men: Women Start Own Fantasy Fashion League

TRENTON, N.J. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – You’ve heard of Fantasy Football Leagues, but now there’s a Fantasy Fashion League. works by ladies picking teams of fashion designers from jewelry and handbag designers to clothing and shoe designers.

Fantasy fashionistas then earn points when one of their designers – such as Gucci or Stuart Weitzman – gets mentioned in specific fashion news magazines and websites.

The couture contest starts with Sunday’s (Sep. 17) Emmy Awards and ends March 5 with the Oscars.

Creator Erica Salmon says she created the league to “annoy” her husband, who she says is “obsessive” about fantasy football.

It started as a joke on her hubby but Salmon says she now understands where her pigskin-loving hubby’s passion comes from. As she puts it, “I now get it.”

Salmon says 1,000 other ladies have signed up and even her husband has jumped on the fantasy fashion league bandwagon because, she says, “He thinks it’s a riot.”
