Plug In To Pain

PARIS (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – A Parisian artist has a shocking way to share the pain of the people who suffered losses from Hurricane Katrina: electric shocks.

Christophe Bruno says he’s almost perfected a pain patch called WiFi-SM that is placed on the body like a nicotine patch and allows you to feel an electric jolt whenever words like “death,” “kill,” “torture,” “war” and other personalized keywords are detected from more than 4,500 news sources worldwide.

Bruno came up with the idea for the pain-inducing patch at the beginning of the war in Iraq which is when, he explains, “people started feeling a lot of guilt watching T.V.”

He thinks the calibrated electric shock from the tiny patch is a better alternative to “whipping to get rid of your guilt,” adding that the name WiFi-SM comes from, “As you say in English, S & M.”

Even though the patch won’t be out until the end of the year, Bruno says he already has orders from Marquis de Sade wannabes who’ve whipped themselves into a frenzy looking at his website:
