Minnesota Woman Turning Roadkill Into Fashion Accessories

MINNEAPOLIS (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – One Minnesota woman is doing her part for recycling: She’s scooping up roadkill and making a fashion statement out of it.

Sarina Brewer makes fashion accessories out of dead animals she finds on the side of the road, as well as those donated to her by friends and a local science museum.

Her deadly creations – available at – range from $18 to $45 and include cat paw keyrings, squirrel foot necklaces, alligator feet earrings, and coon foot keychains.

Brewer says her typical clients are tattoo shop employees and sideshow collectors and she gets “...a lot of orders around Father’s Day.”

Naturally, cutting off dead animals’ limbs for fashion is making some animal lovers upset, but Brewer says she hasn’t received that much negative feedback.

In her words, “It was a lot better than I thought it was going to be.”
