Servers Put Their Asses On The Line For Jeans

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Would you pay $200 for a pair of jeans covered in grease or pie-filling?

One upscale denim designer is hoping you will and has undertaken a unique method for developing the distressed dungarees.

Earnest Sewn Jeans is asking servers at New York’s chi- chi Bette Restaurant to wear the pricey denims while hauling plates of messy food. After six months, the best-looking pair will be replicated and sold as the “Bette Jean.”

Spokeswoman Eleanor Ylvisaker (El-ve-socker) explains, “There are so many jean companies out there whose washes look contrived. We want the distressed look, the ketchup stain in the front.”

The idea was inspired by an Earnest Sewn employee who wore the same jeans for four years straight without washing them. His filthy pants became a prototype for a line called Los 3D.

Ylvisaker admits those jeans were stinky and she’s actually thinking of taking some of the jeans back from the servers after three months because she says some people might like “a cleaner jean.”
