Is Montel Hiring Fake MS Victims For Fundraisers?

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Montel Williams may be willing to do anything to fight multiple sclerosis but some people are wondering if that means hiring fake victims to sit in wheelchairs during his fundraisers.

That’s one of the allegations being laid at the talk show host’s feet after a private charity fundraiser on Friday (Jun. 3) at the ACA Gallery in the Chelsea section of New York.

New York-based gossip reporter Baird Jones says Williams gave an impassioned speech to the crowd begging for money for the charity – and brought two women in wheelchairs who were displaying MS symptoms such as rolling eyes and spastic movements.

Turns out, the wheel-chaired women are well known in the New York art community and they’re perfectly healthy.

Now, Jones and other guests are wondering if the Montel Williams MS Foundation paid the women to fake their MS – especially since one of them was later seen standing in an elevator on her way to another party in the same building.

At least one other guest believes Williams should give back all the money raised that night since it came under false pretenses, but a foundation spokeswoman calls the allegations “preposterous.”
