Meet Buffo, The World’s Strongest Clown

EVANS CITY, Pa. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – A Pennsylvania clown is no Bozo – he’s just Buffo.

The performer calls himself “Buffo, The World’s Strongest Clown” and he combines the physique of a WWE wrestler with the face of a Ringling Brothers circus clown.

Unlike regular clowns who just make balloon animals and do magic tricks, Buffo also rips phone books in half, balances kids on his face while they sit in a chair and juggles bowling balls.

The former minor league baseball player and special ed teacher has been clowning around for more than 25 years while sporting 18-inch biceps on his 6-foot-tall, 200-pound frame.

Buffo currently bench-presses 400 pounds and can heft 500 pounds from a dead lift, though he’s quick to say he’s anti-drug and doesn’t touch steroids.

Those bulging muscles sometimes scare the kiddies, but Buffo says he’s able to put his pint-sized audiences at ease by pretending that he’s a big wimp who’s actually afraid of them.

He also does shows for adult crowds where he shows off his buff bod in something he calls “The World’s Silliest Strip Show.”
