Garage Sale of Burton’s Stuff Drives Director Batty

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Director Tim Burton is feeling a little batty about his ex-fiance Lisa Marie’s decision to sell some of the items they shared as a couple.

Starting today (Mar. 11), Los Angeles-based Estate Sales will be selling “previously-owned items” from the Batman director and his ex at a warehouse in Azusa, Calif.

Items include lamps, electronics, movie memorabilia, props from movie sets, and drawings made by the off-kilter director.

However, Burton won’t be making any dough on the garage sale. Only Marie will be cashing in on all the stuff, which apparently belongs to the Planet of the Apes actress.

Marie’s lawyer, Lara Ott, insists the items are legally Marie’s and the sale isn’t about money, adding Marie “just wants to get rid of the stuff.”

Burton – whose 10-year relationship with Marie ended in 2001 – isn’t happy that his stuff is being sold.

He tells that some of the items are private gifts that were “never meant for public display or purchase” and is “completely against the selling of personal items in such a public way.”
