Desperate Houseplants

GREAT NECK, N.Y. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Maybe Desperate Housewives should have a spin-off: Desperate Houseplants.

According to a self-proclaimed “plant communicator” from Great Neck, New York, the way wild plants behave while confined inside houses is similar to how the housewives on the show react to life on Wisteria Lane.

Rochelle Shapiro says adulterous beauty “Gabrielle” has a lot in common with an African Violet: They’re both beautifully exotic and they thrive in steamy situations.

Perfectionist “Bree” is more like a cactus, because she’s strong on the outside no matter how much she is neglected.

Lost-in-love heroine “Susan,” however, is more like a high-maintenance orchid: She wouldn’t survive without the constant mothering she receives from her daughter.

Finally, man-eater “Edie” is an awful lot like a Venus Flytrap: She needs a constant diet of living things to keep her satisfied.
