‘American Idol’ Makeup Artist Shares Her Secrets

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – A lot of contestants will have to face the world and sing on the new season of American Idol – and one woman is making sure their faces look good when they do.

She’s makeup artist Mezhgan (MISH-gone), and she’s the gal responsible for giving the aspiring singers makeup makeovers.

Over the years, Mezhgan has found that it’s often the guys who really get into wearing makeup. For instance, last season competitor John Stevens didn’t believe the men would need makeup – that is, until he saw how good his skin looked on camera with some face paint.

The previous season, Clay Aiken happily consented to a makeup job which covered up a lot of his freckles, used bronzers to even his skin, darkened his eyelashes and trimmed his eyebrows.

Mezghan says some of the guys get so hooked that they ask her to write down the products she uses so they can buy some for home use.

Her own line of products, called M, will be hitting the market in April so TV viewers who idolize the Idols can buy the same products and colors they see contestants wearing.
