MINNEAPOLIS (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The stories are true -- a memorabilia collector in Minneapolis really is funding Corey Haim's funeral.As FlashNews senior editor Monica Garske first reported last Friday (Mar. 12) on FlashNews.com, Michael Kronick, founder of Startifacts, has decided to pony up the cash for Haim's funeral.
The pair were pals back in the '90s, when Haim would frequent Kronick's memorabilia shop with boxes full of personal stuff to sell including clumps of his hair, clothing, and even his molar that was yanked out after a visit to the dentist.
In an exclusive interview with FlashNews, Kronick feels he's "doing the right thing" by funding his old friend's funeral.
A five-figure check from Kronick pictured here is on its way to Haim's mother, Judy Haim, as of press time.
Kronick plans to hold auctions of Haim's old goods and donate all of those proceeds to Haim's mother as well.
