LUGANO, Switzerland (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Why travel the world by plane when you can see it all from home and save the planet at the same time?Arounder is an online magazine and free iPhone app which lets travelers visit cities like Amsterdam, Rome, London, and Oslo from the comfort of their own home.
They can see the major sites, go in local restaurants and check out what’s on the menu, and virtually walk the streets.
Among its many functions, co-founder Marco Trezzini says Arounder can even help save the world.
He explains, “You’re helping save the planet because Arounder doesn’t release CO2 emissions since you never board a plane.”
People who are paralyzed or bedridden can also see the beauty the world has to offer.
Trezzini believes Arounder “enables people to have an experience as close to reality as possible on the Internet,” which serves a number of purposes.
