SAN DIEGO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Anyone can master the Rubik’s Cube – with a few months of free time on their hands.

Tomorrow (May 29), The Ruben H. Fleet Science Center in San Diego is having its 5th Annual Rubik’s Cube Competition, where math whizzes will go head-to-head to see who solves the cubes the fastest.

Though it seems only math nerds can master the Rubik’s Cube, host and competitor Adam Zamora assures anyone can get the confusing toy down.

He says, “It depends on how much you want to learn. You can pick it up in just a couple of days for simple algorithms.”

However, more advanced algorithms do take months to crack.

They require users to memorize both the mathematical solution and moves that can solve the cube in seconds.

Those who can master the math toy and win a competition get tons of “bragging rights” within the cube community.
