Alaskans Do Body Hair Better Than Anyone

No one grows facial hair like those grizzly Alaskans.

The Grizzly Alaskan Contest is bringing bushy bodies to Fairbanks, Alaska, this Wednesday (Jul. 21) as part of the Fairbanks Golden Days Festival.

Locals that compete for the bushiest beard, wildest moustache, hairiest chest, or hairiest legs will have to show off their bodies for the crowd to prove they’re the furriest of them all.

But that shouldn’t be tough since Alaskans have grizzly body hair in their genes.

Event spokeswoman Jessica Swift says, “Alaskans definitely do body hair better than anyone else.”

Last year, one participant proudly showed off his hairy chest by competing in only a pair of suspenders and trousers. Fairbanks’ females even get in on the act by competing in the hairiest legs category.

But if any Alaskan suffers from a bare body, they can try their luck at the ugliest feet competition since locals are also prone to gnarly “frontier feet.”
