HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – For one of the first guys booted from The Bachelorette, finding love on TV was fishy.

Kyle Higgins, an outdoorsman from Highlands Ranch, Colorado, was eliminated by Bachelorette babe Ali Fedotowsky this past Monday (May 24).

That’s just as well since the avid fisherman – who tried to reel in Fedotowsky by giving her a fishing hook – had doubts they’d be a match anyhow because she’s a city girl and he’s a mountain man.

Despite their differences, Higgins was still hoping it’d be a case of “opposites attract” and that they’d develop a connection. He’d heard that Fedotowsky was “kind of outdoorsy,” so he figured they could possibly build on that.

Higgins admits Fedotowsky “felt more like a friend” from the start, but thinks he could’ve “wooed her” had he had more time.

Claiming he was going to eat her “First Impression” rose probably didn’t help, though.

The Bachelorette airs Mondays on ABC.
