SAN FRANCISCO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – A dream date with Barbie could be downright weird.Anyone who’s ever wanted to wine and dine the iconic doll now can by submitting an original art piece by July 31 for the 8th Annual Altered Barbie exhibition in San Francisco.
The event, which takes place in September, will feature works created out of actual Barbie dolls that go with the theme, “A Date With Barbie.”
Spokesperson Julie Andersen says artists are invited to interpret their idea of a Barbie dream date however they see fit, so she expects plenty of strange entries.
She explains, “It’s San Francisco, so I’m sure there will be kinky dates. I’m curious to see people’s ideas of what a date with Barbie would be like.”
Andersen thinks Barbie might be a tough lady to please on a date since she already has the dream house, car, and “a gay boyfriend [Ken] to go shopping with.”
