NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The quirky, offbeat fashion walking the streets of New York is really on the rise.Just ask Gavin McInnes, the self-proclaimed first ever hipster fashion critic and author of Street Boners: 1,764 Hipster Fashion Jokes (Grand Central Publishing), out Thursday (May 27).
For years McInnes has been poking fun at the threads New Yorkers wear but the truth is, their wild gear kind of gives him a boner.
He finds it exciting when today’s hipsters – who are really just modern “rockabillies, hippies, and punks” – take risks with their wardrobes.
McInnes says hipsters in New York “really fþþþing go for it” with their bold fashion choices, which look especially good on hot chicks.
But some duds are just duds.
McInnes says flip-flops are the ultimate fashion crime unless it’s over 85 degrees or you’re at the beach. The thought of a dude’s big, hairy, nasty toes hanging out definitely does not give him a boner.
