Man Makes Something Out Of Nothing

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – One man wants people to help him with an art project by sending absolutely nothing.

Artist David Horvitz is making something out of nothing with the Mail Nothing To The Tate Modern project. He’s asking people to send the Tate Modern Museum in London packages, boxes, and emails that contain nothing, zilch, nada.

Horvitz feels there’s something “poetic” about empty boxes making their way to London filled with nothing but oxygen.

He adds, “It’s kind of funny having to fill out customs forms that say there’s nothing in the package, and having to work with the idea of nothing in an official manner.”

Though he doubts anything bad could happen to those who participate “because they’re literally doing nothing,” worry has crossed his mind.

He’s asking that people send their packages this week so they arrive in enough time to be included in his exhibit, which runs May 14-16.
