LONDON (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) Candy is the way to go if youre trying to keep your kids quiet on a road trip.According to a poll by car seat makers boostapak.com, nearly 75 percent of British parents bribe their kids with sweets on long road trips just to keep them quiet.
In fact, half of parents admit their kids consume more junk and snacks on car rides than on any other occasion, and most typically give in to giving out candy after just 41 minutes of driving.
However, 25 percent confess that their sweet plan often backfires, and their kids get even more hyper after eating all that sugar.
But sweets arent the only kiddie pacifier.
About 33 percent of parents have installed a DVD player in the car solely for their children while others buy brand new toys just for long car journeys.
One in three even let their kids dictate the music played in the car just to keep the peace.
