Racy Poster Mocks Oil-Hungry Politicians

Ad artist Stan Cotton believes corrupt politicians who accept bribes from big oil companies are the real culprits behind the BP oil disaster.

That’s what ad artist Stan Cotton has done with his latest racy poster which calls out corrupt politicians making millions off the BP oil spill.

Cotton’s satirical poster features a BP fat cat standing on top of a chained up donkey and elephant, symbolizing the oil company’s control over political parties.

The pithy tagline states: “What’s the big deal? We’re bringing oil to American shores.”

Cotton wants the provocative poster to hang in schools and other public places to get people thinking about the real reasons behind the oil crisis.

He believes BP stands for “bribe politicians” because oil companies pay off Congressmen and senators for their support.

The politicians take the money and use it to fund their campaigns so they’ll get re-elected.

By this logic, Cotton argues that “campaign funding is what really caused the spill” and thus reform must start there.
