Marijuana Dispensaries Save Neighborhoods?

The San Diego Medical Marijuana Collective argues that pot dispensaries make neighborhoods better, not worse.

The San Diego Medical Marijuana Collective argues that pot dispensaries make neighborhoods better, not worse.

SAN DIEGO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – People may think neighborhoods where pot is sold aren’t good areas, but the San Diego Medical Marijuana Collective is smoking out that rumor.

The organization, which helps people open up their own medical marijuana dispensaries for the ill, believe a dope shop can really improve a neighborhood.

In fact, they assure that the dispensaries they’ve set up around the San Diego area have seen an increase in business traffic and reduced crime rates in the neighborhoods where they’re located.

It’s possible that an overwhelming mellow mood is to blame.

Spokesperson Garrett Miller says the Collective is all about giving those in need of a healing hit the care they deserve.

They also pride themselves on getting people the weed they need safely. In fact, their dispensaries have become a hotspot for patients and people to hang out and commune.
