GAITHERSBURG, Md. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – There’s no need to head to a pricey rehab facility when alcoholics can recover right at home.

Kamran Loghman of the National Institute For Alcohol Recovery (NIFAR) has been perfecting an easy, step-by-step program for recovering alcoholics called Regenerate.

It consists of online video “sessions” designed to help drunks battle the bottle from the privacy of their own home.

Loghman says that of the 90 million people suffering from alcoholism only 3 percent get help because they’re too busy or embarrassed to do so.

With Regenerate, “no one has to know” about their addiction while they get the guidance to finally quit for good.

Loghman says the program – available on nifar.com – gradually weans people off the sauce by “retraining their brain” through mental exercises such as drinking a full glass of water rapidly.

It also teaches alcoholics how to detoxify at home using simple tools like hot baths and water with honey and lemon juice.
