NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – One doctor is whipping a group of deadbeat dads into shape by enlisting them in an intense camp.

Psychologist Dr. Jeff Gardere runs Dad Camp, a new reality series premiering Memorial Day (May 31) on VH1 where he prepares a group of young, immature dads-to-be for fatherhood.

Gardere says he drilled the deadbeats with the importance of being there for their kids and showed absolutely no mercy.

After delving into the psyche behind their awful attitudes, Gardere reveals he “had them by the proverbial you know what.”

The dads got a crash-course in daily duties too, like feeding, burping, and holding a baby, which made them the most nervous.

Gardere says they also learned to change poopy diapers and even endured a simulated pregnancy so they could understand exactly what their baby’s mamas were going through.

The doc hopes the show helps end the absent dad epidemic and inspires real “Dad Camps” to open up around the world.
