BISHOPVILLE, S.C. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) One man is all buttoned up and ready for the day he meets his maker.Eighty-year-old South Carolina resident Dalton Stevens is known as the Button King due to the big role buttons have played in his life.
Stevens suffers from insomnia, and back in 1983 he thought sewing buttons onto his clothes might help him get through the sleepless nights without waking up his family.
As a result of his bizarre nightly hobby, Stevens now owns various button-covered suits, including a denim one that boasts 16,333 buttons, as well as button-covered shoes, an outhouse, and a toilet.
And it seems his love of buttons will live forever.
Once he passes on, Stevens will be buried in a casket that hes pre-covered in buttons, which will be driven to the cemetery in a hearse that hes glued 600,000 buttons on.
He says, That hearse is gonna take me on my final lap.
