Better Me is a free online tool that allows folks to write honest feedback to anyone, whether it’s friends, family, or co-workers.

Their remark is then anonymously emailed to the person it’s meant for, who can respond on betterme.com.

Founder Sterling Mace believes this is a constructive way for people to have open conversations that may otherwise be awkward face-to-face.

She says much of the feedback is sent between co-workers who want to avoid office politics. They can also use the tool to confront their annoying bosses without fear.

Mace says the critiques foster surprisingly positive results. Instead of recipients getting defensive, many appreciate the info.

Additionally, folks can purposely request feedback about themselves.

Professors, salesmen, and even a Little League coach have used Better Me to ask students, customers, and parents how they’re measuring up.
