`Leverage' Star Timothy Hutton Victim Of Own Scamming

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Everyone has been ripped off at one point or another – including Leverage star Timothy Hutton.Although the Oscar-winning actor plays a skilled, heroic con out to settle scores on the TNT drama, Hutton admits he’s almost fallen for a scam or two himself.
Hutton says a scheming contractor once tried to charge him outrageous prices for home repair materials, but he caught on before forking over the cash.
He says “calling out” the wannabe grifter felt great, but knows other victims aren’t always so lucky.
Hutton is surprised by how many shady and bizarre schemes people do get away with.
He once heard of a company that offered to paint people’s roofs gold because the color supposedly kept the heat and cold out. When it rained, the paint ran everywhere causing thousands of dollars in damages to victims’ homes.
The new season of Leverage is currently airing Sundays on TNT.
