NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) Turns out the saying is true laughter really IS the best medicine. And at the Better Health Chiropractic center in New York City, people can get a nice, big dose of it by taking the Laughter Yoga class.
Teacher and Laughter Ambassador Dr. Alex Eingorn leads a lesson in exercises and simulations that use the aid of giggles and chuckles to improve the body.
No yoga poses are actually used, and instead, Eingorn has students do things like imagine theyre running late for work.
He has them run in place and stare at their watch and then stop and break into a hearty laugh because it teaches them to let go of stress, especially in situations they cant control.
Eingorn says laughing can bring relief from depression, high blood pressure, and other ailments so for truly authentic yucks, he relies on a trained laughter leader to make his students giggle rather than using funny movies or sounds.
