MISSOULA, Mont. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – For the first time ever in sports history, a married couple has been drafted by a pro basketball team.

The 2010 NBA Draft begins today (Jun. 24), but the famous Harlem Globetrotters have already chosen their top picks.

They’ve just tapped married couple Shaunte Nance- Johnson and Anthony Johnson, both University of Montana basketball stars, to attend Globetrotters training camp for a shot at joining the team.

The husband and wife duo say they’re working on “taking over the sport as Team Johnson,” so this is the perfect start.

Anthony says they ball all the time together at home and share pointers, although one-on-one matches “start off kind of cute, but get very competitive.”

So to keep things light, Shaunte says they mostly play games of “H-O-R-S-E.”

She thinks joining the Globetrotters is right up their alley since they’re already “goofy” and enjoy incorporating wigs, jokes, singing, and dancing into their basketball playing.
