LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Fashionistas may spend big bucks on designer duds, but “swapnistas” look hot for a whole lot less.

“Swapnistas” are fashion-savvy shoppers who trade clothes, shoes, and accessories with others instead of buying new stuff.

Practicing swappers are invited to Conway, Arkansas, on Sunday (Jun. 27) to partake in “The Swapnista,” a bi-monthly party where gals switch swag with other women for the low price of five bucks.

The event allows women to quickly increase their wardrobe for cheap, a welcomed strategy for clotheshorses in this down economy.

They can also meet other bargain shoppers who might want to become their fashion-trading buddies on a regular basis.

Spokesperson Kimbie Akins says the party isn’t just easy on the pocketbook, but also the environment because it encourages recycling.

And although the garments being traded aren’t new, they are still “new to you” and in good condition so ladies will be stylin’.
