SAN ANTONIO, Texas (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – It’s safe to say that the latest man booted from The Bachelorette suffered from stage fright.

Shy guy Hunter Wagner was eliminated from the show this past Monday (Jun. 7) and blames his exit on the glare of the reality TV cameras.

Wagner says the constantly-probing lenses caused him to “shut down” in front of bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky, especially during their one-on-one date at her house.

He was so freaked out and focused on the cameras, he couldn’t be himself.

Normally, Wagner says he’s “very talkative” on dates. In fact, he got picked to compete on The Bachelorette based on a YouTube video of himself giving a speech – on camera – at his friend’s wedding.

However this time around, the lenses clearly had “the opposite effect” on him. But Wagner isn’t sure it would’ve worked out with Fedotowsky anyway.

The Bachelorette airs Mondays on ABC.
