The Munroe Lake Lodge in Manitoba is a place where one can really escape from the everyday hustle and bustle because theres literally nothing anywhere nearby.
The lodge is only accessible via airplane and the closest town is 50 miles away, so guests stay in near-obsolete conditions.
The draw is the untouched wilderness that surrounds the lodge which attracts hardcore hunters and fishermen.
They make the difficult trip for the promise of shooting big game animals like caribou and moose, and enjoy the untapped tundra.
Owner Robert Paquin says the solitude doesnt give anyone cabin fever since he and his wife are there to keep visitors company.
He explains, Were there to talk to guests. We accompany them on the hunts. At night we have lights and radio so they cant really go crazy.© Copyright 2010 Wireless Flash News Inc
