MADISON, Wis. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Contrary to popular belief, cute stuffed animals are not always the way to a woman’s heart.

Just ask Kirk DeWindt, who was booted from The Bachelorette this past Monday (Jul. 12) after Ali Fedotowsky visited his homestate of Wisconsin and saw his dad’s massive taxidermy collection.

The bachelorette was visibly disturbed by the cute, cuddly stuffed animals in his dad’s basement, but DeWindt expected that to happen.

In his words, “If you put a cute city girl in a basement full of dead animals, you’re probably going to get a reaction.”

However, he doesn’t really see what all the fuss is about, since he grew up around taxidermy and is used to it by now.

The single says the stuffed animals aren’t the most embarrassing thing his parents have done in front of girls before either.

That dubious honor goes to his mom, who used to dress up as the Easter Bunny and visit his elementary school.
