NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Nipple tassels have a funny way of bringing women closer together.At the New York School of Burlesque, ladies and gents can learn the art of the tease from bonafide burlesque babes.
Lessons include hula-hooping, flirting through dance, costume- making, and classes in self-confidence, which Headmistress Jo “Boobs” Weldon says is vital to performing a sexy shimmy routine.
Weldon even teaches lap dancing, which she admits is “not part of burlesque” but still comes in handy for students who want to keep audiences coming back for more.
With clothes flying off during class, Weldon says it’s inevitable that a tightness is formed between burlesque babes.
She explains, “They’ve all taken off their shirts and twirled nipple tassels in front of each other. That creates a bond.”
They become so close, in fact, that many end up forming burlesque troupes once they perfect the craft.
