LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Don’t ever call renowned self-help author Tony Robbins a “motivator” – he absolutely hates that term.

The famous advisor is helping average folks make crucial life changes in his new NBC reality series, Breakthrough With Tony Robbins, premiering July 27, but doesn’t want people to think he’s just some other cheesy motivational speaker who believes in the magical “power of positive thinking.”

Instead of being “Mr. Positive Thinking,” Robbins sees himself as the “Why Guy” because before any real breakthroughs can happen, he helps people realize why they do certain things in life.

Robbins knows he’s gotten a bad rap as an annoying self- help dude through his “awful infomercials” but assures the “silly” spots are just a platform to get his name, books, and philosophy out there.

He does admit, however, that he loses a little credibility being positioned next to other infomercials about spray-on hair and cheap household appliances.
