HOPE, Maine (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – This oughtta bowl people over: A woman has created a line of dishware featuring images of real vaginas.Carla Sanders is an artist and mentor for the “Temple Of Wombn,” a group that praises the energy of females.
She’s doing her part to empower women with her handmade “vulva portrait bowls,” dishes made from porcelain with a vagina etched into the bottom.
Sanders personalizes each bowl by using photos of real vaginas sent to her by gals who order the dishes.
The pictures serve as her sculpting guide to help her make the vagina bowls as anatomically correct as possible, since they’re typically then used in very special ways.
Sanders says the bowls are “divinely spirited,” and many women keep theirs on an alter to use in sacred rituals or meditation. They help women harness their female powers and connect more deeply to their sexuality.
