LONDON (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The 2010 World Cup may leave devoted fans completely broke.

According to a survey by FIFA World Cup sponsor, Continental Tyres, the average England fan will drink 48 pints of beer and drop roughly $515 during the month-long soccer tournament on provisions like snacks, drinks, and souvenirs.

Here’s the spending scoop:

  • The typical bloke will shell out around $43 on food and drinks at the pub while watching each game featuring Fabio Capello’s boys, and about $54 on take-out.

  • The average fan will drink three pints of beer per game and two cups of tea, and eat chips, a sandwich, and one chocolate bar.

  • One in five fans will have a hamburger, 40 percent will splurge for a pack of peanuts, and most will spend at least $25 on World Cup merchandise.

  • Meanwhile, one in 10 will buy a new TV to watch the big games and one in 50 will go as far as getting a patriotic team tattoo.
