NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Relying on the kindness of strangers is helping one wacky novelty product grow naturally.

Shane Blomberg has been asking the online masses for a helping hand to get his invention, the “Pop’s ‘Stache,” off the ground.

The Pop’s ‘Stache is a plastic moustache that clips onto a soda bottle so that when people take a sip, they appear to be sporting the funky facial hair.

Attempting to get the product made has been arduous, which lead Blomberg to create a page on Kickstarter.com, where strangers can donate to get projects, causes, or companies running.

So far, people have donated $1,935 towards the ’Stache, and Blomberg is touched by the generosity.

He didn’t really think people would care about his silly invention, but clearly, folks “believe in the product.”

Blomberg’s ultimate goal is to raise at least $3,500 to get more ’Staches made and clipped onto people’s soda bottles.
