SAN FRANCISCO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Two days and lots of coffee is all it takes to put together a magazine.

That’s what a group of six journalists are trying to accomplish with the 48-Hour Magazine Project, where they’ll write, edit, and design an entire layout and publication this Saturday (May 8) through Sunday (May 9).

Spokesperson Mat Honan is announcing the magazine’s theme tomorrow (May 7) and accepting photo and story submissions from anyone hoping to be included.

He expects the rush job will lead to some crying in the wee hours of the night, though he doesn’t see fists flying because everyone involved gets along just fine.

Just in case any power struggles break out, one person has been appointed the “deciding power” over the entire magazine.

To keep creative juices flowing, a local coffee roaster has sponsored the event and is providing plenty of java to make sure no one passes out at their desk.
