PHILADELPHIA (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – One man is getting totally tangled up in tape.

Philadelphia-based artist Mark Khaisman has a sticky situation on his hands due to Tapeworks, a series where he creates three-by-four-foot art pieces using nothing but packaging tape that he layers and then lights from behind to produce a glowing image.

Khaisman cuts the tape into random-sized strips so pieces often end up stuck to his shoes, clothes, and hair, which he doesn’t always notice when he leaves his studio.

He says, “If I go somewhere, it’s usually embarrassing. People end up pulling tape off of me.”

Since he uses about 300 feet of packaging tape to make one masterpiece, there’s rarely a time when Khaisman doesn’t have tape twisted all over him.

He doesn’t mind though, because it’s still a less smelly and messy medium than paint so he never has to change his clothes.
