Brooke Burns Recalls Hair-Raising Modeling Gig

Burns hosts the new reality show, Hair Battle Spectacular, premiering August 10 on Oxygen, where pro hairstylists go head-to-head creating big, bold, avant-garde fantasy ’dos.

The wacky hair designs remind Burns of the “fantasy hairpieces” she had to sport on runways when she first began modeling in Germany and Milan.

More specifically, she recalls doing a weird Halloween shoot for a German catalog once where they stuck her in a crazy, multi- colored beehive hairpiece.

She says the “rocker” locks were heavy and covered in metal chains, so she can certainly sympathize with the models showcasing the wacky ’dos on Hair Battle.

Still, Burns says the most uncomfortable tresses of her life were the thick “feather bangs” she had in first grade, which, as she puts it, “Were NOT a good look for me.”
