Spooky Group Mixes Spirits With Spirits

A group of ghost and cocktail enthusiasts known as GHOULA like to mix spirits with spirits on their group outings. They'll be searching the supposedly haunted Aztec Hotel in Los Angeles this Sunday (Jun. 13).

The Ghost Hunters Of Urban Los Angeles, or GHOULA, are a band of boozing buddies who get together on the 13th of every month for their “SPIRITS with SPIRITS” event to talk ghosts, visit haunted locales in L.A., and knock back a few drinks.

Spokesperson Richard Carradine says the “social club” is comprised of believers of the paranormal and pro investigators, who often bring their equipment and hold impromptu ghost hunts at the locations.

He explains, “It’s just an excuse to get together, talk ghosts, explore different areas of the city, and have some drinks.”

But although they dabble in cocktails, Carradine says the booze has never made them see any ghosts that weren’t there.

This Sunday (Jun. 13), GHOULA will be heading to the Aztec Hotel, which is rumored to have a spooky female resident floating through the halls and in one specific room.
