Route 66 Fanatic Gets 84th Tattoo

Ron Jones – aka “Tattoo Man” – has 84 tattoos of pitstops, cities, and landmarks found along the legendary Route 66.

He adds new ink to his body every few months and recently had his most painful tattoo to date etched onto his left side – a big, yellow van driven by a famed Route 66 artist which took three grueling sessions to complete.

Jones admits the pain was awful and he had to pee a lot during the process, but it was all worth it.

He’s thinking about getting more ink done this July, but fears he’s “running out of room” on his canvas.

Still, Jones is determined to keep on truckin’ with his hobby and has no regrets about any of his tattoos – except one.

He has one wayward tat that somehow “snuck in there” which has nothing to do with Route 66, so really, his count is officially 85 tattoos.
