BARRINGTON, R.I. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Victory is sweet for the newest Amazing Race winners who ate nothing but sweets the entire trip.

Brothers Dan and Jordan Pious crossed the finish line first on The Amazing Race this past Sunday (May 9) fueled by determination – and lots and lots of sugar.

The bros say they adopted a special “Snickers Diet” along their travels to save money on food and keep their energy high.

Instead of trying unfamiliar local cuisine, they opted for Snickers chocolate bars, crispy M&Ms, Mentos, and Crystal Light lemonade packets which Dan says made crappy tap water drinkable.

He credits the tiny lemonade packs for “making life better” under the intense stress of the Race.

But while the candy helped, it was Jordan’s complete knowledge of the game that truly sealed their win.

The Amazing Race superfan has watched all 15 seasons of the show and mapped out every possible challenge they could face along with strategies before even starting the Race.
