`Idol's' Siobhan Magnus Really Blows
American Idol cast-off Siobhan Magnus learned to blow her signature high note in the shower.

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – American Idol cast-off Siobhan Magnus can really blow – in more ways than one.The quirky crooner was booted from Idol this past Wednesday (Apr. 28) and was known for her signature screech – a crazy high note she’d hit in her performances.
Magnus says her job at a glassblowing shop in Massachusetts sort of helped her perfect her pipes.
Since glassblowing requires a lot of “breath control” the skill has, in a way, influenced her singing abilities.
But Magnus says all of the talking with customers probably helped her chops even more than the blowing.
The truth is, Magnus learned to hit her powerhouse high note in the shower. She figured out she could do it while singing – and scrubbing – to a Kelly Clarkson song.
Magnus confesses, “I’m an avid shower singer, much to the dismay of my family and neighbors.”
Idol airs Tuesdays and Wednesdays on FOX.
